How to Use A Plunger

Take the plunger and place it at the bottom of the toilet. Seal it as best you can while pumping up and down. Break the seal only after pressure has built up. This should cause the water to clear the clog and you should be back in business.

What You Flush

Keep Counters Clear

Not only will it be less tempting for the children in your home to flush something besides toilet paper, keeping counters clear will prevent cotton balls, Q-tips, brushes, and other items from getting inadvertently flushed, even by the adults in the home.

Check Your Pockets

It comes as no surprise that bathrooms are among the dirtiest places in the home. Leave your phone outside the bathroom or risk it falling out of a pocket right into the toilet. If you’ve got kids, remind them to check their pockets before visiting the bathroom. You never know what can fall into the toilet and cause a clog!

Time to Replace the Toilet
