Common Heater Repairs

Your heater contains moving parts that, if left to run each year without inspection or residential heater maintenance, will cause the system to break down.
 

• Faulty fan motors. 
  
  This is the fan that blows heated air into the home. The moving parts will eventually wear out and the fan will stop working trapping the hot air in the heater. The heater shuts off to prevent other parts from getting too hot.
   

• Dirty blower. 
  
  When dirt builds up on the blades, the furnace’s airflow is reduced causing it work less efficiently. This translates to higher utility bills for customers and contributes to the wear and tear of the heat exchanger.
   

• Fractures in heat exchanger.
  
  When the blower is in need of repair, it runs hotter which causes a higher rate of expansion and contraction of the metal in the heat exchanger. The metal becomes fatigued and could eventually cause a crack in the heat exchanger which is very dangerous.
