RESIDENTIAL HEATER REPAIR

@ FORREST ANDERSON

Phoenix is known for its blistering hot summers but there are a few months of the year that we call winter. Temperatures dip below 70 degrees and we feel the chill. Often it means flipping the heater on for a bit of warm comfort.

You flip the switch and… NOTHING.

When the heater doesn’t work, it’s time to call Forrest Anderson.

For three generations we’ve been keeping families comfortable through chilly winters.

We never want you to worry that your heater isn’t working.

Our dedicated technicians are available 24/7 for emergency service.

When we arrive at your home, we will follow our four-point service model. Designed to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience, our technicians talk to you about the current problem, discuss heater repair options with you, provide a proposal of work, and work with you to get the work completed to your satisfaction.

If you’re not sure if it’s an emergency, give us a call. Ignoring a small repair can lead to greater damage to the heater and more expense to you. We’d rather check the problem and repair it as soon as possible.

Common Heater Repairs

Your heater contains moving parts that, if left to run each year without inspection or residential heater maintenance, will cause the system to break down.

  • Faulty fan motors.

This is the fan that blows heated air into the home. The moving parts will eventually wear out and the fan will stop working trapping the hot air in the heater. The heater shuts off to prevent other parts from getting too hot.

  • Dirty blower.

When dirt builds up on the blades, the furnace’s airflow is reduced causing it work less efficiently. This translates to higher utility bills for customers and contributes to the wear and tear of the heat exchanger.

  • Fractures in heat exchanger.

When the blower is in need of repair, it runs hotter which causes a higher rate of expansion and contraction of the metal in the heat exchanger. The metal becomes fatigued and could eventually cause a crack in the heat exchanger which is very dangerous. This is common in older heaters that have not been repaired on a regular basis This is common in older heaters that have not been repaired on a regular basis.
